Iguana Hat by metallixfaker

An iguana hat that I made for my sister.

One in a long series of hats that I've made for people and for myself using a pattern I found on the Hancock Fabrics website. The material is polar fleece.

Yes that is a dryer. The laundry room is the best-lit room in the house, what can I say.

More pictures and commission information coming soon.

That is ever so cool! Not just for the spikes and such, which are indeed spifftastic, but because the hat would keep one's ears warm. Looks pretty easy to make the basic hat, too. Hancock Fabrics, you say? *makes mental note*

this is so clever, i love it. the spines and spots are so cute. :D

i love making fleece hats for friends too, and i've been looking for a pattern just like this to use as a base for a while, and i've been poking through the hancock site looking for the one you used here but i can't find it, do you maybe remember what it was called?

It was in the free projects gallery and it's called a "sport hat" :D

I only really use the pattern for the ear-warming band part. I made up the top triangle things.

aha, thanks for the info. :3 yeah, the earband part is mostly what i was interested in, too. i've tried to come up with a way to do them myself but they never turn out exactly right.

I suggest a crested gecko next! XD Not that I'd have any idea how one might position the spines on them... Or a Bearded dragon. Crests are kinda similiar between the two...
